Bahrain-based Madhu Sarda is a woman of many interests. An accomplished Madhubani artist, muralist and Mandala painter, she is also a fitness devotee who teaches and practices yoga and a mountaineer. She has completed adventurous treks of the Mt. Everest Base Camp and is the only lady mountaineer to have planted the Bahrain Flag at an altitude of almost 20,000 feet above sea level in Nepal’s Mera Peak. Madhu is also an active community voice, having run her own Nepali-language radio show and worked with fellow Bahraini-artists to take art to deserving causes.
